First Ever Easter Egg Hunts and The Easter Bunny - YAY!!!

This was Dave and Everly waiting for the blow horn to start their first ever Easter Egg Hunt. Everly was getting impatient and wanted to cross the line and Dave was getting stressed out which is why you see him holding Everly like a sack of potatoes.

The eggs are very obvious in the background but its hard to see them in this picture. Everly was in the 1 to 3 year old group and so they basically make the eggs REALLY easy to find and just lay them on the grass on a flat field.

Finally the horn blew and they were OFF to the egg races! Dave had to carry Everly to the back of the field where the eggs were because the 3 year olds were WAY faster than Everly.
But once he got her back there she knew JUST what to do and she had never really been egg hunting before. She found her OWN three little blue hardboiled eggs and put them herself in her own little basket. I was SO EXTREMELY proud. So cheesy but true. This is the same egg hunt I went to when I was her age and since our birthdays are 4 days apart, this is in essence what I looked like at my first easter egg hunt!

This picture above and below are probably my two favorite from her easter egg hunt. She was so careful placing the eggs in the basket.
Finally the egg rush was over (like 2 minutes after it began) and we left the egg field to go see the Easter Bunny.
She wanted to see the bunny really bad but she was afraid of him at the same time. The bunny, to his credit tried REALLY hard to get Everly over there but they best he got was her squatting down like he did right in front of her.

This was Everly's Easter basket this year. This is how it looked before she woke up and found it.

She really liked her Easter basket a TON. Apparently the Easter Bunny knew just what she liked at this age and so she had a grand ole time. Even her two older cousins kept playing with stuff from her basket!
I could just kick myself in the butt. These are the only two pictures I got of Everly in her Easter dress. I didnt even THINK to take one of her with her jacket off outside. SO DUMB. I regret that since she looked so cute in that dress - OH WELL!
