DECEMBER 3, 2007

We had Everly blessed yesterday. We were supposed to have the family come up from Utah but due to some unforeseen snow, they were forced to stay home. Dave had to scramble around before church started and find some bretheren to fill in the vacancies but we managed okay. We hardly ever have baby blessings in church and yesterday we had 3 total which was shocking. We had no idea anyone else was being blessed but a family who had recently moved into the ward had their 3 week old daughter blessed and a toddler son blessed. The fast and testimony meeting afterward was filled with family memories of those who got up and bore their testimonies. It was a truly special Sunday as it was then family and children themed and fit perfectly. We had a friend from work show up who knew how to operate our camera so we got some super cute pictures of everyone in the lobby (it was too cold outside to take Everly in her little dress). Dave said his only regret (if you could even call it that) was that he forgot to bless Everly with "gratitude" but hopefully we will instill that in her anyways throughout her life.

Today Daves mom went home. She stayed with us a week and was a help in that she kept Everly sleeping or quieted down. Its nice to have family stay but its nice to get your house back. You never realize how much you run around in your underwear or naked until someone comes into your house and you cant do that anymore!

My parents also went back to Washington today. They had been here since Saturday. They found out right before their plane took off from Idaho that Washington is experiencing a lot of flooding and my moms job had cancelled today and tomorrow so she could have stayed an extra day but they were also told their driveway was flooding so it was best that they returned home.

Daves dad from California came in as well on Saturday but he had to leave last night. Dave was extremely glad to see his dad and we had a really really really good visit with him. We dont get to do that too often but hopefully we will be able to visit more especially as things calm down and Everly gets a bit older. We missed seeing Lonette and the rest of the clan but things are busy on their end too and we can totally understand that.

Overall it was a good weekend. Everyone was civil and got along and we had a good time. Everly fit into her dress still which was amazing and her shoes, tights and bracelet fit so all was good. The only thing that didnt really fit too well was her bonnet. Apparently my child has a large head.... but its a beautiful head and I love her anyways!!!
